Finding articles in a Research Database

LCC Library subscribes to many excellent Research Databases  for articles on topics in art, art history, and design. Try the databases below for access to hundreds of relevant magazine and newspaper articles:

Academic Search Complete  Excellent coverage for topics in art and art history, this database is easy to use and spans virtually every area of academic study, and offers sources from 1975 to present.

MasterFILE Premier  Provides full text for nearly 1,950 general reference publications with full-text information dating from 1975 to present.

EBSCO Newspaper Source  Provides selected full text for over 180 regional U.S. newspapers, international newspapers, newswires, newspaper columns and other sources as well as indexing and abstracts for national newspapers.

BHA (Bibliography of the History of Art)

Another tool for finding art history articles is the Bibliography of the History of Art, a huge bibliography of scholarly writing on western art. Unfortunately, BHA is not full-text. If you find citations for articles on BHA, stop by the Reference desk and we can help you track down the article(s) you need.
